How to Prevent .DS_Store File Creation

To disable the automatic creation of .ds_store files in MacOS

First launch the Terminal application usually located under

/Applications/Utilities/

Enter the following command string mentioned below:

defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true
